Meet Emily Wallace Hundley
Emily Wallace Hundley grew up in Lebanon, Kentucky and has watched St. Catharine College grow over the years. A former teacher and a lifelong proponent of education, Emily Hundley has made the lead gift to the College that made the groundbreaking of the College’s new Library a reality in Spring of 2013. “A library should be the most visited spot on Campus,” says Ms. Hundley. “It affects every aspect of learning.” The Emily Wallace Hundley Library promises to be all that and more. With construction now underway, the Library will include group study rooms, a café, meeting space, new technology and a vastly increased repository.
Emily Hundley graduated from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA. She worked as a teacher in Lebanon and in Danville. Her career took her to Atlanta, Georgia, where she worked for Delta Airlines and later for a manufacturing company. She has also worked for the Presbyterian Theological Seminary and spent many years caring for her elderly parents. She is a true friend to St. Catharine College and is often seen on Campus eating in the Spalding Student & Community Center or going over plans for the new Library. She has homes in Lebanon and in Louisville and divides her time equally between the two.
