Mattingly and Poirier named Mr. and Miss St. Catharine

Troy Mattingly and Reilly Poirier were named Mr. and Miss St. Catharine on Feb. 9 at halftime of the men's basketball game against UPike.

Mattingly was unable to attend due to an away track meet and will be presented his crown and scepter at a later date.

Other members of the St. Catharine court were Craig Cox, Jimmy Carroll, Nick Brawner, AJ Middleton, Hope Couch, Drew Ison, Dallas Smith, Stephanie Wilcheck and Kelbie Spencer.

Troy Mattingly is a junior majoring in sports leadership. Troy is from Louisville and runs cross country and track for St. Catharine College. He also serves as a student orientation staff member and student ambassador. He enjoys assisting the track coach at his high school on a volunteer basis and is looking toward a future as a collegiate track coach. Troy enjoys relaxing with friends, watching football and basketball and being outside.

Reilly Poirier is a senior biology major from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She is a forward on the women’s basketball team at SCC and serves as the “two-year captain.” Outside of class, she waitresses at Chili’s in Bardstown. She also loves reading, working out, watching football and spending time with her sisters, nieces and nephews. She is a huge Ravens fan.
