Mid-Kentucky Arts at St. Catharine
Putting Talent in the Spotlight
Lights dim as magnificent music, orchestral and vocal, fills the hall. Another Mid-Kentucky Arts performance is underway on the St. Catharine College Campus …
Founded in 1998, Mid-Kentucky Arts at St. Catharine brings the rich pleasures of the arts to the people of the tri-county region. Through a thoughtfully planned schedule of events, students and members of local communities experience a broad range of professional quality performances as well as gain an avenue of personal expression for their own abilities.
From the start, Mid-Kentucky Arts has been a volunteer organization, funded by generous donations from the community. As the organization’s popularity continues to grow, the College’s long-term plans include eventually hiring a director to coordinate a rich array of performances and presentations across a variety of artistic media.
In addition to grand vocal and instrumental performances, past years’ presentations have coupled art exhibitions, dance performances and small theatrical vignettes with musical concerts featuring regional talent.
