Meet the Student Orientation Staff
The Student Orientation Staff is made up of upperclass student leaders who are selected to assist with the STAR summer orientation program and Fall Orientation. Their aim is to help new students transition to St. Catharine College.
In their own words, the role of an SOSer is to . . .
excite, inspire, encourage, support, prepare, assist, strive, comfort,
empathize, lead, reach out, direct, and inform!
The 2012 SOSers are pictured above at the Southern Regional Orienation Workshop in Charlotte, NC just after the institutional "sticker swap":
front row: Leslie Blair, Pilar Espinosa, Paige Hassman, and Amanda Knopp (co-head).
2nd row: Dr. Vicki Guthrie (advisor), Stephanie Pollitt (advisor), Brandon Huffman, Emily Mann (head SOSer), Brent Cain, Sheldon Lucas, Adam Caldwell (orientation asssitant).
Not pictured: Troy Mattingly and Owen Ethington.
