Students
Students start with a class that they will remain a part of for the entire 2-year program. A mentoring system from the upper class is in place to help the beginning students.
All students are automatically members of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and the Kentucky Society of Radiologic Technologists (KSRT). Active participation is highly encouraged!
Attendance at national student meetings is supported, with fundraising opportunities initiated by each class.
Organizations
Lambda Nu (LN) is a national honor society for the radiologic and imaging sciences. It's objectives are to:
- foster academic scholarship at the highest academic levels
- promote research and investigation in the radiologic and imaging sciences
- recognize exemplary scholarship
SCC is a Kentucky Beta chapter with many scholarly opportunities. Created in 2004, the chapter is going strong with the expert guidance of Clinical Coordinator April Bowman.
